Communities In Schools is the nation's largest dropout prevention organization.

Since 1999, iMentor has been cultivating relationships between young people and volunteer adult mentors through an innovative combination of e-mail correspondence and in-person meetings. To-date, iMentor has matched over 5,000 mentor-mentee pairs, partnering with 30 NYC schools and after school programs in four of New York City's five boroughs

Founded in 1923, the United Way of Essex and West Hudson is a non-profit organization that seeks to address the root causes of community concerns by aligning resources to best meet the needs of individuals, children and families through its service-area.

The mission of Newark Now is to equip and empower Newark residents with the tools and resources to transform their communities through neighborhood associations, tenant organizations and community groups. Our core belief is that every Newark neighborhood has the capacity to be livable and that all it takes are a few dedicated, skilled residents to begin the process.

SOS will supply women who live in the urban community, (primarily women who are currently unemployed and are receiving public assistance through the TANF program), with a change in their thinking which in turn will provide a change in their lifestyle.  We will equip them with life skills necessary to function as active tax paying citizens who are capable of balancing family and work
