It's about connecting with people on a human level, and treating one another with dignity, respect and compassion. CIS is only as good as the people who serve as it's ambassadors in the community. From the national president to each local project director, CIS people distinguish themselves by their committment to ensuring that the children they serve have every opportunity to succeed in school and prepare for life. CISNJ is the linchpin in a statewide strategy for change. The state office ensures the quality and integrity of the network, provides technical assistance and training, facilitates resource and partnership development, and assumes responsibilty for the growth of the network by working with local communities to develop CISNJ programs.
