Young people need to understand the importance of developing basic skills, critical thinking, teamwork, problem solving, responsibility and integrity. CIS is committed to the development of these skills through afterschool and summer programs offering training in job readiness, the arts and computer technology. Paid internships and employment opportunities not only build résumés, but most importantly, build character, self-esteem, responsibility, hope for the future, and a desire to be a contributing member of society.
