Partnership and collaboration are the cornerstone of CIS. Partnerships established at the national, state and local levels contribute to the organization's strength and provide vital resources for the children who are served. Fundamental to each CIS program is partnership with a school district. Beyond that, private sector partnerships (with corporations and businesses), public sector partnerships (with local colleges and universities, governmental agencies), and community-based partnerships (with faith-based and non-profit organizations) have provided scholarships, career development training, academic enrichment, counseling, and much more. Partners offer critical leadership, volunteers, funding, and goods and services to develop new programs, strengthen existing ones, and facilitate local collaborations.
