Communities In Schools of New Jersey (CISNJ), began over ten years ago as a single project in Newark and is currently serving over 25,000 students at sites in its six programs: Newark, Passaic, Trenton, Cumberland and Union Counties and Studioworks. The role of the state program is to replicate the CIS model as widely as possible within New Jersey, secure state-level resources, and network on behalf of the individual CIS communities.
